A Letter to Edgar Allan Poe

Dear Mr. Poe,
My name is Shannon Gordon. I go to Queensborough Community College. I am taking    I really enjoy your poems. I think you are an excellent writer. You are an inspiration to me through your writing. Usually I do not like poems that are dark and horrific but i enjoy your poems. I loved Tell Tale Heart. How the guy's conscience was riding him. He was going crazy. That is how I feel when I do something that is the reason why I do not like to lie and be unfair. Mr. Poe, why did you pick up gambling? I was disappointed by that to be honest. You had a good look for you with everything that you were doing in your childhood. Usually I read about people who struggled through their childhood why they wrote poems but you had it good other than the fact that your parents died. I think that you were very creative and imaginative. Your imagination ran wild in Tell-Tale Heart, but it was quite sick and twisted. Why did you write such poem? how did you think of such things?. In your poem alone, sometimes I feel alone. I enjoyed it I really did but where you alone?. Your work is an inspiration, but do you think that if you were alive today you would write differently?. These are the questions that I would have liked to ask you. You are gone but definitely not forgotten.
