Madam Alberta K. Johnson

Madam Alberta K. Johnson was an African American black woman who lived around the time of the great depression. She was a very hard working lady. She was independent and took pride in everything she does. If she works a maid for someone, despite the fact that she is a maid and she is cleaning someone's house, she has to treated with respect. Business is business for her. She is bold also. She defends herself in all situation. Madam believes fair is fair and she treats people how they treat her. She did not have too much money after the depression but she strives to make a living. She lives in the projects now and then because she had problems with unfair landlords. On a typical day she went to work then went home feed her kids. She had friends that she hang out with on the weekends but anywhere the work was she was there, had to make the money somehow.
